The (New and Improved) Baby Plan! – Baby portraits
April 15th

Pennsylvania Infant Photographer

Are you looking for baby portraits? You have come to the right place. Not only do we offer you the finest baby portraits in northeastern Pennsylvania, we also provide what we think is the best baby plan on the east coast. Seriously.

Here at Steve Lewis Photography we love to watch our Baby Plan Babies grow! It really is wonderful to watch as their tiny personalities develop. As a father of 4, I love getting to know some of God’s newest creations, and I am truly thankful that this is what I get to do everyday!

How does our baby plan work?
Well, most baby plans that are offered by other photographers (if they offer one at all), require that you use up your sessions during baby’s first year. While that is an option with us, when you sign up for our babyplan, you will have a set number of sessions on your account to use. You can then call to schedule anytime. Some families choose to shoot every three months, others hit a few key milestones in baby’s first year, and others come by on annually on baby’s birthday. As a matter of fact, you can take up to 5 years to use all of your sessions if you like! I wanted to make this new baby plan as attractive as possible, and the ability to spread out your sessions seemed like the way to go.

You also get a print credit to use towards your print order as well. How’s that sound? You can use it all at one session or spread it out. Whatever you choose.

Here are the milestones to look for during baby’s first year.

3 months: baby is comfortable on his tummy and can lift his head up
6 months: baby is sitting up
9 months: baby is sitting very well, can crawl around and maybe standing with assistance
12 months: baby is usually standing with little or no help, and some are even starting to take their first steps
18 months: baby is walking well on her own, cruising around and climbing on everything!
2 years: ha. good luck keeping up!

Dallas Pennsylvania Photography – Gift Certificates Are Here!
November 18th

People are always looking for imaginative gift giving ideas for Christmas, and I thought I’d help again this year and let everyone know about the SLP gift certificates!

They’ve been in high demand, and so I thought I would re-design our popular gift certificates for our new printing, and I’m pretty stoked about them.

And you will be too!

Give the gift of custom portraiture!

Give the gift of custom portraiture!

Christmas is coming. Everyone gets ties. Or Furbys. Give them something they really want this Christmas, a SLP gift certificate. By giving them a SLP gift certificate you are helping your loved ones create lasting memories they will treasure forever.

No matter what stage your family is in, newborn, toddler, children or high school senior, SLP offers a service for you. As you move from stage to stage Steve will be there getting to know your family.  With each session his goal is to continually build trust by providing you with quality artwork that truly represents your family in that moment in time.

Do you know a young couple that has recently or is about to have a baby? Has mom been hinting that she wants some family photos taken by a professional? Is your niece really a high school senior next year?  No matter the occasion, Steve Lewis Photography makes it easy to give a gift your loved ones will cherish. And you’ll look pretty good for thinking it up, too!

Call today to reserve your gift certificate 570-592-2938.

Steve Lewis Photography is the culmination of one man’s journey of self discovery. Do you remember what you wanted to be when you grew up? Me, I wanted to be a garbage-man, an archaeologist, (damn you Indiana Jones!) an actor, and a cowboy. But as I got older I realized smelly garbage makes me gag, boulders weren’t going to chase me out of Incan temples, I was a mediocre actor in a sea of good ones, and cowboys either get shot by bad guys or trampled by cattle. Since none of those things were going to work out for me, I decided one day not too long ago that photography seemed pretty cool. And then I studied. And I practiced. And practiced. And practiced. And practiced some more.

Then once I figured out what my destiny was, I decided to open for business in January of 2012. Today I specialize in fine art wedding and portrait photography. When I’m in wedding photography mode I’m telling love stories. From the first shot of the engagement session to the final shot at the reception I’m telling the story of YOUR love for each other.

When I’m in portrait photography mode, I’m attempting to capture a slice of your life in un-staged, natural settings as the events are occurring. Portrait photography should be about capturing the relationships and the personalities of my clients as I see it. As a photographer I am a casual observer of life, documenting little snippets of people’s lives. We need to have more than good lighting and smooth skin to make a good portrait. We need to capture YOU. Or your baby. Or your family. You get the idea.

When I’m not with my clients, you will find me running around after my three awesome children, keeping myself caffeinated, and generally loving life!

I like coffee, buttercream icing, sushi, and coffee.

I dislike smelly feet, math, scales, and Ewoks.

Hello people. Isn’t this a handsome fellow up there ^? Just foolin’ around with a camera and my son the other day. And since a blog post is always better with a picture, I thought I’d put him up for you.

I thought I’d write a little bit about myself and my business today.
